Out of the blue challenge FTL145

Hello Stampers,

The other night i got to talking to my sister online over at Crafters anonymous,
and out of the blue she set a challenge.
She gave us both 1 hour to do and complete this weeks sketch over at
Here is the sketch

at first i didn't want to do it, but i caved in and gave it a go.
Here is my attempt.
this is the result of being put on the spot ...a yuck moment, i don't do well put on the spot

I didn't like this at all.
So i gave it another go, when i wasn't put on the spot
This time i had my nephew in mind as it is his birthday next Monday.

This one turned out really great.
you can see yet again i went for punch art,
the idea came from
It is an UK demonstrator. Lisa from Norfolk.

Today i'm off up to Auckland, in fact by the time this post goes live i will be up there and attending the SENZ craft show. so i will be back to tell you all about it maybe show you a new thing or two.

Clean & Simple #126

Good morning to all, i hope you all have a great day ahead.
I have a busy one planned.
After doing a bit of blog hopping i came across a link to a challenge over on Danielle Daws blog, i regularly visit her blog as i really like her clean but very elegant designs, i take a lot of inspiration from her designs as i too like the clean look of cards.
Click here to go on over and have a look at her great work.

The challenge was for "papertrey ink", they had released tag images in a free download in which you added to a card/project.
But i missed this one, but still gave it a go to see what i could come up with,
Then
over at Clean and simple this week was this great sketch

So i combined the two challenges, and here is what i came up with

I'm not too happy with my water colouring, as my computer wouldn't co-operate so i could print this on water colour paper instead i had to settle for plain paper, which does not like this technique, and my yucky ribbons ends are thanks to the cat deciding that this card was almost too good to leave so he had to take a bite, and ended up fraying one side of it.

FTL 104 Challenge

I hope everyone's weekend was a great one.

I had a busy weekend. Saturday was spent doing my usual book/paperwork down at our business, then home to keep warm and dry. It sure was a cold day

Sunday was spent on a bush trek with our scout group, we went out to the fantastic Maungatautari Reserve, which is out the back of Kihikihi. What a great place to go if you and family like to take in the scenery, it is a reserve in which is surrounded by 47kms of fence to keep out the mice and other pests, they have kiwi's roaming free, and if your lucky enough you will find a Kiwi nest as they are nesting at the moment, and the bird life is just wonderful to see and watch.
Want to know more look them up at this link Maungatautari.

Anyway over at Clean & Simple they have a new sketch.
Click here to have a look at this weeks challenge/sketch.

Clean & Simple 103

Hello to all, i hope you all had a great weekend.

...........Wow what a busy weekend, between work, a stamp class, (yes i fitted in a stamp class, tell you more about it tomorrow), great family time and  a late evening card creation........... only to have an even busier week start.

Over at the site Clean & Simple they have posted a new challenge, so pop over to have a look and maybe play along.

As i mentioned i had a late evening creation session, yes there is proof that it was late.

I like how this turned out, but as you can see there have been a couple of late evening issues.
Turn your head a little and the sentiment will be straight

I braved a bit of water colouring this is not a favourite technique of mine as i normally have a lot of trouble, but i am happy with the outcome.
