Try Stampin on Tuesday #20

Morning Stampers,

Phew that was close as i nearly missed the deadline to enter this.
then i would have let myself down with my personal challenge, to enter every challenge over at

Here is this weeks fantastic sketch
Don't forget to go and have a look at the new sketch due up sometime today.

I didn't think i was going to get around to putting in an entry this week, due to some serious problems with one of my children, and with all of this happening, i haven't been in the creative mood,
But after making a late (as usual) card for my sister Narelle, who's birthday it was yesterday,
ha ha she is getting old now, yes yes i know i'm still older.
I was inspired to go ahead and create a card to submit.

I used the color coach and came up with these dynamic colours.
it isn't the best of work, as with other things on the mind it is hard to do a clean and tidy job.

I will post the other one i made in a few days once it arrives at it's destination.

I was lucky enough again to make last weeks top 3 pick
Here is my badge

Try and stay dry,
Have a good day.

Yes i'm still here.....

Morning stampers.

Boy oh boy what a week, i can't believe it has been a week since my last post, this time of year can be busy without the extra things going on in life.
At least i can say my new office down at our business has been finished, and i moved in yesterday, but it was a stressful day trying to get the computer up and running.

I have not had any time to get anywhere near my craft room, but tomorrow i have a whole day of stamping and creating with the wonderful and very creative Jacque Pedersen.
I am so looking forward to this i have not attended a class in over three months.

Yesterday i had to make a thank you card, as the other night we had a fantastic time, we attended a good  mate of ours work party, it was a night of comedy at our local bar, and boy i don't think i have laughed that hard in so long, in the end it hurt too much to laugh i was crying instead.
thanks for the invite TWS and Mcleods sheetmetals.

So in order to thank our hosts for the invite i made them a card.
this is one in which i CASED, as this was such a great design, i just changed the colours

Here is my creation

Have a great day and weekend ahead

Just for him....

Morning Stampers,

Well i have such quiet in my house, everyone has gone for the day and it is only 7.30am, if only i wasn't so busy i could go back to bed and relax.

But i thought i would take this opportunity and show you all the card i made for my husbands up coming birthday, i know he doesn't look on here unless i want to show him something, so i'm safe putting this up. i have also created a card for my son's birthday but he is currently over in oz, i know he looks here to see what i have been up to, so i wont post that until he has it in his hot little hands

The card base was CASEd from some where but sorry i can't remember where, if it is yours let me know and i will let everyone else know.  i have changed the entire layout it is just the picture that is slightly similar.

I used a torn piece of post it notes to make the hills, and a 1 3/4 punched circle to make the sun, but i'm not too happy with the free hand drawn birds,

Card:  Baja Breeze, Not Quiet navy, Whisper White
Stamps:  Pocket Silhouettes, Short & Sweet.
Ink:  Baja Breeze, Not Quiet Navy
Other:  SU 1 3/4 Round Punch, Post it Notes, Scallop Oval Punch, Word Window Punch, Sponges

Alot to be thankful for

Evening Stampers,

I just want to start of by saying that my thoughts and well wishes are with the families and the people of  the Canterbury region after the earthquake that hit there yesterday morning.
We are thankful to hear that there was no loss of life and next to no major injuries were reported.

Here in New Zealand it was Fathers day, a day in which we give thanks to the wonderful father or father figures in our lives. I am Lucky i have a dad and a fantastic step-dad.
To the families in the Canterbury region, fathers day has an extra special reason to be thankful, just being together and safe counts for more than those broken material items.

In our house hold we find the giving of gifts not necessary, just being thankful is enough for this family.

So i made a few Fathers Day's cards, but forgot to take photos except of the one i gave my husband from my children.

Card:  Soft Suede, Basic Black
Stamp:  Pocket Silhouette, Single saying Stamp
Ink:   Versamark, Whisper White
Other:  Matt pack and paper piercer

Fathers Day always starts off a very busy end of year for birthdays and celebrations. This month alone i have two of my family and many others to produce cards for. So it is going to be a very busy creating time for me

...With Sympathy

This afternoon i was given the news that a friends grandmother had died this morning.
I know her as i work part time in a rest home as a personal assistant, and have had the pleasure of looking after her daily needs on a few occasions.

So as i didn't have a pre-made card and on hand (as i normally do) i had to make one, again i gave the sponging a go, and i'm not sure if i like the results. Mind you i did it in a rush, and sponging takes patience and time to get the flow right.

The inspiration came for this card from Sharlene Meyer, i CASED a creation she did some time ago on her blog. Click here to go over to her blog to have a look at the original card and the rest of her fantastic creations.

Here is my attempt.
The bow is made using my Double Rectangle punch (retiring next month). if i can work out how to put it up in photo steps, i will do so as this is a great way to create a bow

Card: Chocolate chip, Whisper White
Stamps:  Pocket silhouettes, montagra "with sympathy"Stamp
Ink:  Chocolate Chip, versamark, Basic Black
Other:  SU punch, Embossing powder, heat tool, Dimensionals, SU Choc Chip Ribbon, SU Matt Pack
