A new Challenge.....Friday Mashup

Afternoon stampers,

After doing a bit of blurfing (blog surfing) this morning i came across a great challenge site

I came across this challenge while popping over to the amazing
Andrea Lowcock, I love her work.

Anyway the challenge was
This took a bit of doing and re-doing, i don't do too well with too many colours, but i think i got it just right.

The only thing i don't like is the sentiment, but it is only just sitting there, i can change it at anytime, to suit the occasion.

Anyway i'm off to go and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts, so i will be back in a few days to show off  case some more of my latest projects

C/A online class

Afternoon Stampers,

On Monday night i attended my second Crafters Anonymous online class.
In these classes you are given items needed to complete the class ahead of time, then you pop into the chat room on the night, and follow the given  instructions, (along with a few pictures) to complete the gift or card.
No-one  in class knows what the finished project will be until the end

This week it was a fancy fold card.
It is so much fun to see the other ladies creations after the class, to see how they interpreted the instructions, and once again the finished cards were all fantastic.

Excuse the photo, as it was taken soon after class had ended.
I used items that i already had on my desk from and earlier creation that i had finished.

I had already made one of these great Fancy fold cards previously, but really enjoyed doing it via written step by step instructions, with no clues as to what the end product would be.

Pop back tomorrow to have a look at the swap i made to send to my swap partner over at Ustamp With dawn and friends.

Until then stay dry and keep safe

Just Believe.....swaps

Evening Stampers,

This will be a quick post, i thought i would pop by to show you the swap and name badge i made for yesterday regional training day.

We all had great day with our make n takes, little competitions, new ideas, techniques and the chance to met alot of other like minded ladies.
Hello to the lovely ladies i met yesterday.

I knew i didn't want to make just a card i wanted something a little bit different, so i made a covered note pad.

And here is my name badge

The idea for this name badge came from a tag that the talented Andrea Lowcock made.
Click here to go and have a look around her blog, I bet once you look at her beautiful work, you will keep going back to see the next fantastic new creation.

Well im off to go and read for a while before hitting the pillow.
take care and i'll catch you again soon in blog land

Try stampin on a Tuesday

Morning Stampers

Boy oh boy i'm on a roll.........
Much to my husbands dislike my mojo seems to be washing over me right on bed time, i think this is because finally the busy thoughts of the day have left my mind and allows other thoughts to come through, not just the facts and figures from my daily paper work.

Last night was no exception, again after spotting a challenge, a new one at that, i had an idea and couldn't go to bed and rest until i had at least made a start on the new creation,
but we all know how that works.........
i'll go to bed just after i finish adhering this piece or stamping that part.... yeah right
Next thing you know you have a finished creation in your hands... but i have realised if your really tired give up before you make a mistake and start again fresh tomorrow.

The new challenge is called......
"Try stamping on Tuesday",
click here and go on over and have a play as well.
Here is the sketch. Theme is Valentines.
But in my house hold we don't really do valentines, so i made this to put a smile on a friends face who is having a rough time at the moment, so i thought i would send her a not so "valentine" valentines card

And here is my creation

The only thing about this one is i don't like, is the sentiment, i don't to add another layer or more colour, so it stays as it is
But over all it turned out great

Just for you.....happy New Year

Morning Stampers.

Boy who can believe another year is just about to end, with a fresh new one about to begin.
Is it just me or are the years now flying past alot quicker than they use to.

This past year has been a good one to my family and myself.
So here's hoping this coming year follows suit for us all.
If for some reason this year has not been an easy for you and yours,
i'm sending happy wishes out to you for the coming year and for happiness to be with you all.

Here is the last of the birthday cards i sat down and made on Monday

This one has the technique of emboss resist.
The Just Believe stamp was stamped first with Versamark, the heat set with clear embossing powder.
Then the En Francais background stamp was stamped over a circle negative,
Then i added a bit of coordinating ink on a sponge and sponged in the middle working out a little bit, but not to the edge.

Anyway have a great night tonight, what ever you have planned.
Be safe and i will see you all in the New Year.

I hope the new year brings times of joy and happiness to all,
and of course here's to all of the great new creations that are coming our way,
Cheers!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL

Butterflies of freindship

Morning Stampers.

Well i hope you all have recovered from the big day that Christmas can be, and are ready for yet another big day coming close on it's heels, that is of course New Years Eve, well we all celebrate this day/Evening, as with most of us New Years day is a day of recovery, after too many well earned wines

As i stated in my last post i would post another of the cards i made the other day for a couple of special birthdays coming up, i won't say which card is for which person as im not sure if they pop over to my blog and have a look.

What the photo is not showing you is that the silhouette of the flowers from the "just believe" stamp set has been stamped in Chocolate chip then embossed with clear embossing powder.

I will pop back in a few days to show you the last card i had made.
