Where has the time gone....pt2

Morning All,

So where did i leave off yesterday. Oh that is right birthdays cards, i have had a few birthdays pop up in the last month, including annivarsary cards. Oh blast i have just noticed that i have forgotten to take a photo of a few of them, double blast.
Birthday cards are so much fun to do, i always love trying to tie them in with the person receiving them

This was for my youngest sister's 18th birthday, and she is a wonderful bass player
This one was for my Neice's 15th birthday
Every year my best friends kids challenge me, as they love the cards with the sweet treat cups in them, so each and every birthday, i have to come up with something new using them, this year i had access (i know Shame on me, i don't own this set Yet!! ) to this set, so i was yet to do a gumball one, one i had fogotten to take a photo of was one for Nathan's brother, for his i used a test tube instead
And last but not least, this one was made for a special friend, Kelly it was her birthday day yesterday, and on many occassions she is down in the dumps, as she is an Amercian and is missing her home and family very much, something i could always understand, as i lived away from my family for 7 years
What the photo doesn't show is that there is a little bit of bling on the big flower, yes the ribbon is hiding a Boo Boo

So anyway i am off to go finish my Christmas shopping as i am teenager free for a few hours, also it is another busy day ahead, Staff party, doc's appts, nail appts must have them looking all blingy for Christmas, well tidied up anyway
Sorry one last photo, i had to show you my nails done up for Christmas, i got them done a couple weeks ago now, they are not painted, but done in coloured acrylic, everywhere i go people love them.

Where has the time gone

Hi Stampers,

I have just noticed that i have not posted a post in nearly a month.
I can sum that all up in one word "Life", my life has been hectic for the past month, between work, home and christmas, i have not had much quality time to be able to sit and either blog, blurf or even create.
I have done a bit of creating over the past few weeks, i have had a few birthdays and of course there are the Christmas cards to do.
So in this post i will show some of the projects ih ave been working on, might even have to do it over a couple of posts to keep the photos down
So here goes

This is my Christmas card this year.
i CASEd it from a wonderful lady over at CA, Dawn Ferguson NSW
The centre of this card was designed for our ATC swap, but im sorry as i made two ATC swaps at the same time i cannot remember if it was our CA swap or the Creative inker swap, im sure a fellow blogger will let me know which one, see i have been very busy
This is a gift card holder i made to hold some special gift cards
And the inside, thanks to my Sister Narelle for the idea & measurements
I will blog the Birthday cards in another post, Sorry if this was a long post.
See you all back here tomorrow for part two of my creative days gone by (well last month anyway)

It is that time again.....Christmas card season + JAI 95

Afternoon stampers,

Well it is almost the silly season again, so for us crafters that means making a start on our Christmas Card list and also handmade Christmas gifts.
Well i have made a start on my Christmas cards, and will be making a start on the gifts soon.

This week over at Just Add Ink they have a great challenge to make us all think out side of the box, which suits perfectly with what i wanted to do
Here is their challenge

JAI 95 - Bah Humbug!

We've been seeing lots of Christmassy entries lately and we thought we would go BAH HUMBUG! lol
This week's challenge is to make a Christmas project but with NO Christmas paper, NO Christmas images (Christmas sentiment allowed) and definitely NO chocolate .. oh, okay scrap that ... you can give us chocolate!

This card was created using a Tea bag fold star, another version of this fold can be found in my previous post
This is one that i saw a while ago and had to give it a go, i do not know who's design it is, so please let me know if you know who did it so i can give them credit.
this is another clean and simple one (minus black mark, thanks to my work desk), i have made up many of these in different colours and using a different stamp from the same set, i am giving some to my mum, so she can send them out to her friends

Well as i have been away from my desk for a few days, i had better get back to the growing paper pile.

Quality time in my craft room

Afternoon Crafters,

This morning i spent time in my craft room making a card a few cards, and also finishing off two ATC swaps i am involved with.
It felt great to sit there and craft until i decided i had had enough, i haven't done this in quite a while.
I will wait until i receive the ATC's from the rest of the group before i post the ones i made, to be fair on the groups, incase they peek.

.

This is a case from the wonderfully talented Andrea Buckland,
I did put my spin on it, but i am not totally happy with it at all, it is amazing how we can hit and miss sometimes, i think this one is a miss, i did have my mum in mind, as it is her birthday tomorrow but i'm not so sure, now that it is finished.

I also finished a few christmas cards,
This is one i remembered to take a photo of, i tried a few different things here, i stamped directly on to my ribbon, and also the tree is made using a teabag fold technique

Here is another one, i made this end of last week.
I was asked to make for a friend of my son's girlfriend's birthday

Oh well i had better go back to the drawing board for a card for my mum's birthday tomorrow,

Oh on a final note, i was picked as one of the top three winners for last weeks Try Stampin on Tuesday's sketch,
Here is my badge

Have a great weekend

Elf poop.......

Afternoon stampers,

This will be a short post as i am melting as i sit here writing this.

I had a very productive night last night, in fact i didn't even see my hubby, or have dinner as i sat in my craft room and created until i couldn't create anymore.

There were a few things i had to do on my agenda.
Today i will show you the little gifts i made for a couple of my close freind's children.

These have featured on a few blogs, so it is hard to just give credit to one person, and have been around for years.

I ended up making about 10 of these, but with only one girl in the bunch i made her a special one.
All pink with kisses and not poop.

The kids loved them, even the three big ones i gave them to.

So i will be back tomorrow to post the other two items i made, as i had to make two birthday cards, which was a joy to do after all of the Christmas cards i have been doing

Santa's Britches....

Evening Stampers,

Yes it is evening i am sitting here trying to make the most of the day, at the moment there just isn't enough hours in the day to get everything done.

As i said in my last post i have a few different projects to do, and this evening i have managed to finish off my gift card holders.
The Internet is a wonderful place for inspirations, tonight while surfing the net i came across a really great idea for a gift card holder, it comes from an American scrapbooker by the name of wander. Click here to go on over and have a look at her site.

This is the outside, complete with belly band

Here is the inside

These were fun and easy to make.
The Real Red is cut at 6"x 4 1/4", scored at 1 1/2"and 4 1/2", the buttons are cut using the small oval and 3/4"punches.
The belly band was cut at 6 1/2"x 1 1/4" (edged with white) with a more mustard square to make the buckle and a small black insert, then just loosely folded around and secured with a bit of adhesive.

I am now going to attach them to the top of a candy cane i have for each child,
so i have a Christmas/gift card and tag all in one.
 How easy could that be

CASed Snow Swirled

Morning Stampers,

A few days ago i was over at the wonderful Jacque Pedersen's blog and saw she had blogged a card that she taught us a few weeks ago at a class here in Hamilton.

And as i had to make a few quick last minute Christmas cards i decided on giving this another go.

I did change it a bit due to not having the Snow Swirled Stamp set or the tools Jacque used to make her great card, Click here to go on over and have a look,

I have a busy creative week left ahead, i have been asked to make some little gift boxes, i have a birthday card to complete and i also have some gift card holders to complete before the end of the week, on top of that im trying to  finish up a surprise gift for my Hubby for Xmas, and with it being a surprise i have to do it only when he is not around, and it is not easy as the two of us spend alot of time together with working and living together, then at the end of the week im joining my son to go to a drifting event, yes it goes for two days and is in Auckland
oh boy well i had better sign off and get cracking

Mojo Monday 168 + some eye candy

Morning stampers,

On Sunday night i was lucky enough to be able to go up to Auckland and catch my all time favourite
band playing live........
The one and only Bon Jovi, and boy they were just brilliant.
Their show was the best ever they are fantastic live, and put on a great show for all to enjoy.
It will take quite a while to wipe this smile.
He is some serious eye candy.
Take a look for yourself.

Well after a slow start today i feel that i have finally achieved something.
After blog surfing while having breakfast, i came across this weeks challenge over at Mojo Monday.
Here is the sketch

The Mojo juices must be flowing as i had an idea as soon as i saw this one.

Excuse the bow, i fiddle with it for so long,

Punch Art Snowman.....

Morning Stampers,

Wow another week has snuck by.
At this time of year things seem to move in one speed, and that is very fast.

Once again i haven't had the time to be very creative, but this morning i thought blow the paper work for an hour or two and got busy.

Today's creation is a CASEd one, as soon as i saw this i know i had to give it a go.
It is so cute i love it. This came from the talented Leeann Greff, Who is an American Demonstrator, a blog i visit regularly as she has some wonderful punch art creations.
Click here to go on over and visit her blog.

Now here is my card
Once again there is very little stamping on here, only for the sentiment and the inside of the card.

Well the paper work is calling so i had better go and finish it, but i would rather be sitting here and creating not up to my elbows in numbers and files

Gifts in a jar

Morning Stampers,
Yesterday i had a great but again busy day, i managed to achieve so much, i even got the chance to create something.
After seeing the cookies in a jar on both Jacque's and Narelle's blog  , i decided this would make a wonderful gift for my Daughters favourite two teachers at school.

I found a recipe for Chocolate Cookies which is fantastic as it had ability for creating the layers which makes this gift look even better.
All the receiver has to do is add the wet ingredients

Here's the view of the top
It doesn't show up very well,
but i have added Dazzling Diamonds on the edge of the Whisper White and pearls.
These would suit any occasion from house warming to birthday events

punch art.....xmas fun

Morning Stampers,

Boy oh boy where has the time gone since my last post, i have been a very busy little beaver.
I have been down at our business trying to get my new office built among doing other things.
At the present time i use my spare room at home for an office, but now with business getting busier and busier i am needing to have my paper work close on hand, so we are converting and old staff room to my new office, and it has ment alot of re-arranging as this room has been used as a wrapping/packaging area for the past year. So before we could start on the office we have had to make another area available for this purpose.

On the plus side i can use the spare room completely as my craft area, not a office/craft room, there wasn't enough room for both, but now there will be Yahoo!!

Well today i decided while i waited for the washing to finish i would sit down and create something, and wouldn't you know i choose a card that is not an easy one, and then i have to finish it quickly as i have to head out and get some things done for the new office. I don't like starting something and then having to come back to it, if your on a roll you have to keep going until it's finished, just like reading a good book.
So as you can imagine this has not turned out like i would have like it to,
it is a CASE, but im sorry i do not know where i found this, if it is yours let me know

Here is the inside

If i had a bit more time i would have gotten the sizing on the inside a little closer,
i do have another one sitting there ready to go, so i will have to do it WHEN i have a bit more time, this time it might look a bit better.

Back again, after checking out Just Add Ink i see that their challenge this week is just add Christmas.
Which suits this card. so all is not lost today
Click here to go on over and have a look

Tis the season....

Afternoon Stampers,

Well the season is nearly here, and some shops in town are already getting in to the spirit.

And i think by now everybody is making a start on these never ending xmas card lists, i know have been along with a few early requests, so i have been busy doing my cards and also doing the extras.

Today's post is a quick and easy one....... i think i have a bad dose of mondayitist today, not just with creating but with life in general, boy my Aussie getaway coming up next weekend is looking so good, i can't wait. today is just one of those days where even a smile doesn't cut it.

Anyway todays creations are a set of cards i made last week, when i was in the mood for creating and life.

These are bagged up and ready to go out, so excuse the glare.
All of the cards were made using the tree Trimmings Stamp set teamed up with the baroque Motifs set.
The DSP is a retired one called Ski Slope, it has been a favourite one to use for my xmas cards.
All matched up with corresponding card stock and ribbons, i have used a different technique with each decoration on the cards, one with Dazzling Diamonds, one with Crystal Effects and the last one i used my Kindy Glitz.

Yet Another Chrismas Sparkle...............

Morning Stampers,

Here we go again it is the start of another week. So far the week looks like it is going to be a good week.

So how did everyone's weekend go, mine was........ well different,  at the moment i have little miss 4 (niece) staying with me, and i can tell you I've forgotten how much work little ones are. She is great to have around but i'm finding i'm just as tired as she is when it comes to bed time, My husband and have had a few laughs with the way in which she see things, as we had forgotten how innocent they can be.

so i did not manage to get around to creating anything, but today i will post the last of the acetate cards i made late last week. With this one i didn't have any Night of Navy ribbon so i made a piece using my SU markers, to match the just seen back piece.

Card:  Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Night of Navy.
Stamps:  Snow Swirled
Ink:  Versamark, White StazOn, Going Grey
Other:  Rhinestones, ribbon, SU markers, White/silver embossing powder, Glue dots, Heat tool.

Christmas Sparkle....

Afternoon Stampers,

Today i found some time and decided to make a start on the Christmas cards for this year, and i had better get cracking as i have had a few request to make some special Christmas cards for others to give to their family members this year.

After seeing this fantastic Acetate (window sheets) card over at Debbie Lamb's blog, Click here to go on over and have a look at Debbie's great creations.
I thought that is what i am going to have a go at today so i came up with three different cards using Acetate (window sheets).

I will post them all over the next few days.

The first one is using my Favourite Xmas colour combinations to date, Certainly Celery and Baja Breeze.

Card:  Whisper white, Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery
Stamps: Lovely as a tree, Snow swirled, Tree trimmings
Ink:  Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery, Versamark, White stazOn
Other:  Glue dots, Su Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, Silver Embossing powder, heat tool.

well you decide should i have quit while i was ahead.
anyway we all can't be brilliant everyday, i blame the weather teasing us like it has for the past few days with beautiful days, now we have rain yes rain again.

Xmas Box Set

Evening Stampers,

Well after a day of trying to get to my creating table (dining table), i finally got there, between getting ready for the G.S.T change over, if you have anything to do with business books, you will know how much of a headache this is going to be for the first month or so.

Well when i did get to sit down with my visiting sister (from Auckland) we managed to create a card or two.

I did another box set, this time with a Xmas theme, it took me a while to complete this very simple box, as i found that in order to include the envelopes as well, the box needed abit of adjustment. and after several gos i got it right, then i could move on to the cards to match.

The cards are all using the same DSP, colours and papers.

Here is the box, and as usual with being in a hurry to complete this it is not straight, but this seems to be my trademark

And here are the matching cards to go with the box

The idea came from either a blog or splitcoasters, sorry i cannot remember where or who it was, and the picture does not have a watermark

Cards/Paper:  Whisper White, Baja Breeze Not Quite Navy
 Stamps:  Snow Swirled, Snow Burst.
Ink:  Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy.
Other:  White Ribbon, SU Punches,  Dazzling Diamonds, Dimensionals, White Gel Pen

The first xmas card of the rank

Afternoon Stampers,

Well the mojo has slightly returned,
so i gave this challenge a go, it is the new challenge over at Techno Stamper

So decided to give an xmas card a go, this is the first one for the year.

I used a retired color and also Ski Slope retired DSP paper. For the glittery brads, i added a glue dot to the top of the brad and then dipped in dazzling Diamonds, which doesn't show very well in the photo, Also a bit of Dazzling Diamonds to the ornaments, again which doesn't show up very well.

Card/Paper:  Kiwi Kiss (retired), Whisper White, Ski Slope DSP (retired)
Stamp:  Tree Trimmings, Best Yet
Ink:  Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Choc Chip
Other:  Stamp-a-ma-jig, Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Dimensionals, Brads, Ribbon
